This is an assignment to document back-to-back committee meetings of the Cook County Health and Hospitals System Board:
- 9 a.m.: Finance Committee
- 10:30 a.m. Quality and Patient Safety Committee
You have the option of documenting this meeting in person or remotely.
If you choose to document remotely, the meetings will be live-streamed via Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@cookcountyhealthboardstrea9701/streams. The video may not appear until at or a few minutes after the scheduled start time. If you choose to attend in person, an additional hour will be added to your total assignment hours. If you drive, be sure to allow for extra time, as finding parking in the Medical District can be challenging. There is limited space in the Stroger parking garage and some on-street parking on Wood, Ogden and some surrounding streets. Alternatively, you can park at the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (1100 S Hamilton Ave, Chicago, IL 60612) and there is continual shuttle service to Stroger campus.
Assignment 1:1s We are developing more spaces for Documenters to connect with staff (India, Grace or Natalie) for one-on-one for assignment-specific support and verbal feedback. These calls are optional but highly encouraged for new Documenters, to connect what you learned in our orientation/training with an actual assignment (more experienced Documenters are also welcome to sign up).
Each call usually lasts 15-30 minutes and if you take advantage of them we’ll add the time to your total assignment pay hours.
- Pre-assignment call: walk through how to do pre-research, find relevant meeting information, address other common questions
- Post-assignment call: Debrief your experience, learnings, questions and strategies for next time

Cook County Health and Hospitals System
