Overview: In an effort to increase public transparency and accessibility for the first citywide planning initiative in Chicago since the 1960s, Documenters will attend and document over 60 We Will Chicago planning meetings in small groups—or “pods”—made up of 3-5 Documenters per pod.

Deliverables: Documenters in each pod will:

• Attend a 30-minute training session hosted by City Bureau staff
• Collectively attend 7 meetings during the weeklong assignment term (1 Documenter per meeting)
• Perform group edits, for which you will be paid an additional $150

Important Note: By applying for this assignment, you are applying for the weeklong pod. Please ensure you can attend the 30-minute training AND at least 3-5 of the meeting times listed below:

• 30-minute training session: October 7, 12pm
• Meeting #1–Economic Development: Oct. 12, 2-4pm
• Meeting #2–Life Long Learning: Oct. 12, 2-4pm
• Meeting #3–Arts & Culture: Oct. 12, 4-6pm
• Meeting #4–Environment, Climate + Energy: Oct. 12, 6-8pm
• Meeting #5–Public Health + Safety: Oct. 12, 6-8pm
• Meeting #6–Transportation + Infrastructure: Oct. 13, 6-8pm
• Meeting #7–Housing + Neighborhoods: Oct. 14, 10am-12pm
