There is a discussion around upgrading the website for the Board, and whether or not there will be translations into other languages.

The Board honors the life of former MWRD President Terrence J. O’Brien, who passed late last month. He was re-elected three times by Cook Country constituents, and first elected to the position of President in 1997.

The wake for President O’Brien is being held today from 3-8pm at 6150 N Cicero Ave. The Commission did not mention covid safety precautions for this event.

The meeting of the special committee is taking a 5 min break, and will reconvene as a regular board meeting after that time.

The Clerk reads through each agenda item, and the Commissioners vote by individual roll call.

All agenda items are approved, and the Board moves to hear a covid-19 update from the Executive Director.

The Director says most of their workforce falls under group 1c for vaccinations, with an accessibility start date of March 29.

The Vice Chair thanks the employees and the public for their resilience throughout the pandemic.

Commissioner Shore asks whether time off from work to get the covid vaccine will be provided to staff.

There are no public comments and the meeting is adjourned. The next meeting is scheduled for March 18 at 10:30am.
