The response is perhaps after the election the need will pick up.. Jasmine Santana is concerned about the numbers of construction, developers who will be hiring more workers within the demographics desired

What is the timeline of having the workforce desired to match the millions of dollars awarded by council, Santana asked. The presenters answered the objective is to have the workers needed

Jenny Spencer asked about the current cbo policy guidelines and the metrics of compliance.. having met the requirements for the program..

Councilman Starr spoke to his involvement with the initiative.. He spoke to the front end actions

He also spoke to the constant focus and attention to the project progress on an ongoing basis

He asked about the number of enrollees and the people who are actually working.. The answer is they are not surprised by the number.. it is a process that takes time... Starr asked about certifications for the high school students

The director said the process could start in the sixth grade Starr spoke to the past with vocational education that doesn't exist in the system Exposure to trades is vital he feels..

McCormack asked about females utilizing the program He was told there are 20 programs like Towards Employment and the Apprenticeships Are important and continue .. He spoke to the people who have left the city after high school

McCormack doesn't want people to leave the city in order to escape poverty..

Gray #Ward4 thanked Starr for his explanation of his work with the people in his Ward.. The workforce has been to her neighborhood community Meeting last week. It was a great success

Gray spoke about 2 organizations in Mt Pleasant that could partner with the workforce program .

Joe Jones is next, he thanked the team for the presentation. He also spoke to the lack of people who look like the people in the area. My apologies for calling Charles Slife Kerry McCormack...

Jones spoke to the people who want a piece of the pie and not handouts. He is a business owner and knows that the process is difficult for him. So Minority business owners are going to go where there is sustainability

Jones spoke about the sports team's and Cleveland Housing Network amongst other places in the city that get and have money.. He is against going to shows, its a show.. He advised to get the students young. Reaching out to the schools.

Stephanie Howse Jones is the co chair and the last to speak.. She asked about the current situation with the people who started and completed the program..

Transportation issues was the next area of discussion.. The Workforce program is looking for a solution to the problem..
