NOTICE PUBLIC HEARINGS FY23 BUDGET FOR THE 2022-2023 FISCAL YEAR CHICAGO BOARD OF EDUCATION (COMMONLY KNOWN AS “CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS”) TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Public notice is hereby given by the Chicago Board of Education that it has prepared a FY23 Budget for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year in tentative form, and that five (5) copies thereof, available for public inspection, have been filed and are now on file in the Office of the Board of Education of the City of Chicago (commonly known as “Chicago Public Schools”), 1 North Dearborn Street, Suite 950, Chicago, Illinois 60602 and available at www.cps.edu/budget and that said Board of Education will hold two (2) Public Hearings upon said Budget on Monday, June 13, 2022 and Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Date: Monday, June 13, 2022 Hearing Time: 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm Chicago Public Schools Loop Office 42 West Madison Street, Garden Level Board Room Chicago, Illinois 60602 Date: Wednesday, June 15, 2022 Hearing Time: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm Chicago Public Schools Loop Office 42 West Madison Street, Garden Level Board Room Chicago, Illinois 60602 These Public Hearings will adhere to the current COVID-19 safety guidance and protocols and will be mask-optional. Registered speakers who wish to present during Public Participation may have the option to participate in person at the location of the Public Hearing or virtually via an electronic platform. The public will have access to the meeting via live stream at www.cpsboe.org. For these two Public Hearings, advance registration to speak will begin on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 10:30 am and will close on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 12:00 pm or until 30 slots have been filled for each hearing, whichever occurs first. Advance registration during this period is available by the following methods: Online: www.cpsboe.org (recommended) Phone: (773) 553-1600 The Public Participation segment of the Public Hearings will conclude after the last person who has registered to speak has spoken, or at 5:30 pm on June 13th and 7:30 pm on June 15th, whichever occurs first. Members of the public may submit written comments related to the FY23 Tentative Budget via the Written Comments Form on the Board’s website at www.cpsboe.org or mailed to 1 N Dearborn, Suite 950 by 5:00 pm June 16, 2022.
