Overview In an effort to increase public transparency and accessibility for the first citywide planning initiative in Chicago since the 1960s, Documenters will attend and document over 60 We Will Chicago planning meetings from July 2021-February 2022.

Deliverables Attend one 30-minute training session Produce meeting notes for assigned 2-hour meeting(s) Perform group edits on meeting notes

Assignment Details Meeting documentation Documenters will work in “pods” of 3-4 people to attend virtual (i.e. Zoom ) meetings according to seven thematic pillars. Each pod will be responsible for seven meetings spread across a single week with new pods onboarded each month. Documenters will submit notes within 24 hours of the end of the assigned meeting.

All Documenters will be required to attend a 30-minute training session.

For meeting documentation, each Documenter will be paid the standard meeting rate.

Group editing Documenters will work in “pods” of three to perform group edits on each others’ work. Each Documenter will be expected to contribute 2 hours of edits/review within the editing period. All group edits are due by Monday at noon of the following week.

For group edits, each Documenter will be paid an additional $150 to perform group edits.
