- In this short meeting, the Public Work & Infrastructure Committee approved 11 consent agenda items including:
- Grant application to Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) for an electric fire truck and charger.
- Grant and cooperative agreements for Dowling Ave N Street Reconstruction as part of the Upper Harbor Terminal Project.
- Re-classification of four streets as Pedestrian Street Lighting Corridors. Dowling Ave N from Lyndale Ave to W River Pkwy, 33rd Ave N from Washington Ave to W River Pkwy, Washington Ave from Lowry Ave N to 41st Ave N and 37th Ave NE from Central Ave NE to Stinson Blvd NE.
- The committee also received a Your City, Your Streets 2021 Progress Report. Since April 2016, Public Works has accomplished 187 miles of road maintenance, over 25 miles of bike lanes and 41 miles of improved pedestrian paths.
